Getting ready for the Eclipse

It’s Sunday and I am in Paducah, Kentucky. I visited Hopkinsville, Kentucky last Friday. That town is Fully geared up for the Eclipse – the town center is closed to automobile traffic – foot traffic only allowed, booths are set up, bands are playing. They have temporarily changed the name to “Eclipseville.”

I checked in with Indian of Hopkinsville (JPM Powersports), they will be open for normal business hours, but are not planning anything special. I was hoping to be there for the Eclipse, but not sure I’ll be able to make it now – I have a flat tire on the rear of my Indian. I discovered that this morning as I was getting ready to ride to Nashville. Since it is Sunday, NO motorcycle shops are open. So, here I sit in the hotel.

We’ll see how tomorrow plays out.

Ride safe.

  1. I didn’t get my tire fixed – I ended up staying in Paducah. I watched the Eclipse with friends and the staff of the Hotel where I am staying. The Management made sure everyone had Eclipse Glasses and they also handed out Moon Pies! Good People. It was a fun way to see the Eclipse.
